The Answer: To Keep People Safe!

This Thanksgiving is the 11^th anniversary of my then 89 year old immigrant mother’s visit to west Michigan from the Cleveland, OH area. She still lived alone in the only home she ever owned in the “free world” and did not drive. After an 8 hour round trip, I proudly arrived at home with my Mom to settle in for Thanksgiving the next day. When my wife and I awoke, we realized my Mom had her first stroke and was in critical condition.

Upon arrival at the hospital, I was asked the simple question: “Do you have her Meds, Medical Records and Power of Attorney with you?” to which I replied “No”. The shocking response was “…you better hurry home and find them because she is dying…”. I was the only surviving member of my family, promised to take care of my Mom forever and was letting her down!  She miraculously survived (for 5 more years in MI) and I vowed to create a product someday to solve this problem which is why I started PerSysTek and developed the RecordVault in 2013.

Yes, I waited until I finished a successful 35 year career in the computer industry but I thought about it daily until my big, self-funded development effort began in 2010. Three years later I am proud to have developed a mobile app that everyone can afford, enabling you to be able to keep sensitive records – medical, financial, identity – with you at all times on your smartphone or tablet, with a unique software security method that locks the files to prevent hackers from stealing identity info from your data.  Every time I see that a new customer has downloaded the app, I seem to hear a faint, angelic voice saying “Thank You…Good Job”.
